SIDA APPLICANTS
Requirements for Sida Course Applicants

Applicant must submit the visa application personally.

Schengen application form and Appendix A + D should be submitted together with
two recent passport size photographs in colour, full face white background (no
more than 3 months old).

Do not staple the photos to the application form.

The passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the intended stay.
Please enclose the following documents:

Valid passport and previous passport/s if any, plus photocopies of the bio-data
page, extension/alteration pages in the passport should be attached to the
application forms

Copy of National ID.

For tickets purchased in Bangladesh, a confirmed travel booking is required for
the period of the course including one day before and after the course dates.
In cases where travel one day before or after the course is not possible, it
should be explained to the course authorities (as they pay the hotel costs), as
well as to the embassy.

If the ticket is sent from Sweden, the travel itinerary or photocopy of ticket
is required before visa is granted.

The paper from the course authorities, stating that the medical insurance will
be covered during the course period, should be attached to the application.

Visas to family members will not be considered during the course.

Detours to other countries will not be considered, unless under special
circumstances. (as we are not charging a visa fee) Under these circumstances,
separate medical insurance, other documents are required for the additional
period for the applicant.

PLEASE BRING A LETTER FROM YOUR EMPLOYER STATING YOU ARE GRANTED LEAVE FOR THE
PERIOD OF TRAVEL.

Kammarkollegiet or Schengen medical insurance valid for the length of the stay
and for all the Schengen states, covering medical repatriation, emergency
medical and hospital care. A minimum cover of 30,000 euros is mandatory.
Additional documents or other proof may be required by the Embassy.

No visa fee

If you are travelling during October - March, extra warm clothing is required.
An overcoat and covered shoes are recommended, sometimes even during other
months.
