Requirements for Residence Permit for Students
-
2 sets duly completed application forms (Form MIGR 105031).

2 sets of Questionnaire A – first time applicant – Appendix for Application for
residence permit for students and doctoral students, MIGR 105031.
-
2 sets of Appendix D (Family appendix for applicants).
-
2 passport size colour photographs, full face, white background, no more than 3
months old. Do not staple the photos to the application form.
-
Valid passport + two photocopies of bio data, endorsements and extensions
pages. Passport must be valid for entire study period.

Original Letter of Acceptance issued by the University/College in Sweden.
-
Original birth certificate issued by the Health and Sanitary Dept. of the city
corporation/Pouroshova/Union councillor as appropriate in the Govt. prescribed
format. Official translations in English are required + 2 photocopies of the
translations.

A certificate of leave of absence/educational leave (where relevant) - original
+ photocopy.

Original educational certificates/degrees, transcripts and diplomas with 2 sets
of photocopies.

Originals + two sets photocopies of your own Bank
Statements
. Applicant is requested to show proof of financial support for the entire
planned study period. You are required to show a minimum of SEK 7300 per month
for 10 months in a year.

Admission letter from University/College in Sweden (original + photocopy).
Study should be full time.

Medical Insurance for students
- Students applying for residence permit for less than one year from 01st of
March 2007 will need a medical insurance covering costs for urgent and other
kinds of health care, hospitalization and costs for trips back home for medical
reasons. is requirement will be applicable on students applying for residence
permit after the date in question.

At least one set of the photocopies have to be certified by the Notary
Public.
Note: All legal documents must be translated in English. All the supporting
documents including the legal documents mentioned above have to be submitted in
two sets of photocopies. One set of the photocopies have to be certified first
by the First class Magistrate and then attested by the Consular section of
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The application is forwarded to the Migration
Board in Sweden for decision.
The application must be submitted at least 6 - 8 weeks before the estimated
date of arrival in Sweden
Requirements for Co-Applicants To
Students/Doctoral Students

Original and 2 photocopies of birth/marriage/divorce/or death certificates.
Official translations in English are required + 2 photocopies of the
translations.

For children a certificate from school granting leave of absence (original
+ photocopy).

For spouse (if employed) letter from employer granting leave of absence.

Proof that spouse is a student in Sweden.

One must be able to show adequate means of support. The current required
subsistence amount is SEK 3500 per month for spouse/domestic partner and SEK
2100 per month for each minor child.

Accommodation should be arranged for in Sweden.

Written offer of employment (Form AMS PF 1704) which your employer in Sweden
can obtain via the National Labour Market Board’s web site ams.se. After
approval from the Country Labour Board your employer must send the form to you
so that you can enclose it with your application.

You must be fully prepared to leave Sweden when your term of employment is
over.

Family ties - Adult

2 recent passport size photographs in colour, full face, white background(no
more than 3 months old). Do not staple the photos to the application form. .

Birth certificate issued by the City Corporation or Pourashava (original + 2
photocopies). Translations in English is required + 2 photocopies of the
translations.

Marriage Certificate in English, Nikahnama in English and Nikahnama in Bangla
(originals + 2 photocopies). The documents have to be issued by the respected
Kazi Office.

If divorced or widow/widower submit legal document (original + 2 photocopies).

2 copies from the Swedish Population register (Personbevis) showing the marital
status of the reference person.

2 copies of reference person’s passport.

Parents joining children must produce 2 copies of birth certificate (original
and translation in English) of sponsoring child in Sweden.

A signed Power of attorney provided by the Embassy.

Requirements For A Residence Permit on
family ties - Children Under 18

A written consent given from the parent staying in Bangladesh that the child is
allowed to settle down in Sweden together with the applying parent.

Requirements for a Work Permit(AU PAIR)

Applicant must be between 18 and 30 years of age.

Applicant must submit visa application personally.

2 application forms (form MIGR 131011).

not staple the photos to the application form.(not more than 3 months old).

The passport must be valid for at least two years.
